What is the specific technical intern training system?
From April 1, 2019, it has become possible to accept new foreign human resources with "specific skills" in 14 industrial fields where there is a significant shortage of human resources. In order to obtain a specific skill visa, only foreigners who have passed a skill test in each field and a Japanese language test are required to have a certain level of Japanese language ability and a technical level that can be used immediately in each field.

Requirements for specific technical intern trainees
(01) Passed the skill test and Japanese language test
Foreign nationals who successfully complete Technical Intern Training No. 2 (skill test to perform work specified by industry, Japanese Language Proficiency Test N4 or above, or Japan Foundation Japanese Language Basic Test A2 level or above) are exempt from the test. Masu.

(01) Have each industry perform the work specified.
(02) Must enroll in social insurance and labor insurance
(03) Securing accommodation for specified skilled foreigners (initial costs such as security deposit and key money will be borne by the accepting company. Rent, water and utility costs will be borne by specified skilled foreigners at actual expenses)

About wages and remuneration
(01) Salaries for specified skilled foreigners will be paid directly to them by their affiliated organization (accepting company) in the same way as Japanese employees.
(02) Based on the Labor Standards Act, conclude an employment contract so that the wage does not fall below the regional minimum wage.
(03) The amount of remuneration must be equal to or higher than that of a Japanese person engaged in the same work.
(04) Social insurance premiums, income tax, employment insurance premiums, city/prefectural tax, rent, and utility expenses can be deducted from your salary.
(05) Union supervision fees cannot be deducted from the salary of specified skilled foreigners.
